MOTHER/BABY & LACTATION SUPPORT
Happy baby, happy parents!
The early days with a new baby are joyous, but also exhausting.
I offer in-home care and support for the new parents, baby, and family, plus breastfeeding assistance.

I want new parents to become confident in their parenting, and to provide them with the information and care that they need in the important early first days with their new baby, as well as enable them to get some sleep!

Background:
I have worked for seventeen years as a Maternity Nurse at a hospital in southwestern Connecticut which has won many awards for outstanding care . I have my R.N., and Bachelor's degree in Nursing, and over twenty-one years of experience in the hospital setting.
I have been a certified Lactation Counselor and Lamaze Instructor and have taught hospital classes in Baby Care, Childbirth Education, Breastfeeding, Lamaze, and Newborn Mothers Group.
In the hospital, my favorite role was Transition Nurse, which meant being present at the birth, assessing and caring for the newborn, and working with the parents and newborn in the Delivery Room. I helped with the baby's first feeding.
I also worked as a Maternity and Nursery Nurse, and as a Lactation Counselor in the hospital.
I often still join my new clients in Labor and Delivery, to ensure that the baby has an early and optimal latch shortly after birth. Of course, if a mother chooses not to breastfeed, I support her in that decision, and work with her for a comfortable suppression of the milk.

This is my eighth year working in homes as a nighttime baby nurse. I care for newborns, from birth to three months old.

MOTHER/BABY AND LACTATION SUPPORT
IN THE PRIVACY OF YOUR OWN HOME
I speak Spanish, and I have collected 100+ words of congratulations from around the world! I have a deep appreciation for languages and other cultures.
I support the LGBTQ Community. Every family is unique and every parent is valued!

Definitely pet-friendly!
Bringing a new baby home isn't always easy. New mothers and fathers often need extra help, and don't know where to turn. Huge physical and emotional changes have occurred, and you need someone who will help with understanding; someone who will assist, but not take over...someone who will nurture you for a bit.

I want every new parent to be able to relax and enjoy their baby. My goal is to help you become the rested, loving parent that you've always known you could be. Let's nurture you and the baby, and make this the happiest year of your life!
